Charolais-Brionnais
Straddling the Auvergne and Burgundy regions, the Charolais-Brionnais is a land of hedged farmlands, with small meadows surrounded by hedges and ponds lined with centuries-old oak trees.
These hilly landscapes are a haven for bees. Acacia, dandelion and wildflower honeys are made here. Further down in the Morvan massif, the landscape hardens and the granitic soils become poorer, home to chestnut trees, whose honey is highly prized.
